Use your noggin'

Because the weather was ideal for a drive out to Dracut, I reconnected with Warren Shaw of Shaw Farm today. My purpose was twofold, to see his new store and find out how eggnog is made. But alas, the secret to this thick, creamy old-fashioned elixir is kept under lock and key. "Special flavors," milk, cream, egg yoke and nutmeg are pumped into glass bottles for the ultimate taste of Christmas past. I slugged down this 5,000-calorie drink with the robust dairy farmer and ended up in an eggnog fog. It's so rich and protein-packed I'd swear the milkman slipped in a fith of rum.

.

Shaw's is one of the last dairies in the region and the sole survivor along the Merrimack River. "From here to the "Man on the Mountain, we are the only one left," said Shaw.
The two-month-old market is like a mini Wilson's Farm with seasonal produce, baked goods, local cheeses and banks of refrigerators filled with top-quality milk, cream, ice cream and eggnog! It's worth dashing through the snow for this timeless treat. See for yourself on the nog cam.

Hi BB: Huge fan of Shaw's dairy goods. That 'nog must be decadence in a bottle.

BTW, just tried to watch the video and it doesn't seem to be working on your website. Maybe a temporary glitch?

What about Richardson's Dairy in Dracut? How can Warren say they are the only one left when there is another a few miles away?
